Tom Dyson (Chairman) was born
November 9, 1948 in Tucson, Arizona. He
is the Practice Manager for Southwest
Rehabilitation here in Yuma. Tom became
a Christian in 1969. His wife is Judy (Autrey)
Dyson. They were married at First
Christian Church August 3, 1969, where
he served as a Deacon and co-chaired the
property committee with Ken Reynolds.
They have a daughter, Alicia Joy
Davenport, and a son, Alan Wade Dyson.
Tom's ministries include chairing the
Board of Elders and supporting all other
ministries when possible.
His hobbies include hunting,
woodworking, and any type of craft where
he can use his hands. Tom says his hero
is his wife, Judy Autrey Dyson. "She is
my hero because of the way in which she
has continued to display to her family
and others the true measure of her
faith, courage, and her undying love for
her God, her family, and God's family.
She continues to demonstrate her love
for God in the way she handles her
cancer and her witness to those who are
going through similar situations." And
the biggest blessing in Tom's life?
"God giving me Judy for the last four
years." |

Don
Johnson (Vice Chairman),
a native of Des Moines, Iowa, has been a
member of FCC since 1995. He and his
wife, Twila, were married in 1977 and
have three children: Micah, Hannah, and
Elizabeth. Twila is an RN who works
nights as a resource coordinator for the
Neonatal intensive care unit at YRMC.
In 1977, Don earned a B.A. in Bible from
Moody Bible Institute (IL) and is a 1985
graduate of Drake University with an
M.S.T. in Elementary Education. Former
positions in education include
elementary teacher, missionary school
teacher in Guatemala, family literacy
teacher and coordinator, and elementary
school principal in Yuma District 1 and
Gadsden School District. Recently
retired, he enjoys working with the
church as unofficial greeter, communion
server to the homebound, and decision
counselor. His greatest hope is that
our church will experience the power of
the Holy Spirit as we worship, as we
pray, as we fellowship, and as we serve
one another and a lost world by holding
up Jesus who draws all men and women to
Himself. |

Jack DeLange was born on
April 28, 1954 in San Diego, California.
His career is in operating an insurance
business. He has been a member of
First Christian Church here in Yuma
since July of 1996. He and his wife,
Jody, were married in 1979 in Poway,
California. They have three children,
Justin (26), Jacob (23), and Jackie
(22). Jack has been a Christian since
his early childhood years. His FCC
ministries include: leading children's
music, Eldership, working with
substance/abuse programs or cases, being
the Eldership's liaison for the FCC
Deacon board, and managing the FCC
benevolence fund program. His favorite
book is The Sermon on the Mount
by Emmet Fox. His hero is his
wife, Jody. Favorite foods?
Jacks says, "Bring it ALL on!" His
hobbies include: surfing, running
businesses, playing the piano and
guitar, riding dirt bikes and Harleys,
reading, and hanging out with Jody.
The biggest blessing in his life is
having a relationship with God. |

Rod Reed
was born July 24, 1957, in
Muscatine, Iowa. He came to Yuma
by spending four years at USMC Yuma. Rod
and his wife, Magen, were married in
1996. The Lord brought them to a
place in life where Rod re-dedicated
his life, and Magen dedicated her life
to the Lord at FCC in 1999. The
couple has four children, the oldest two
by a former marriage: Sarah, Ian,
Connor, and Aaron. Rod has been
employed by the City of Yuma for 28
years, and is currently serving as
Battalion Chief in charge of Emergency
Medical Services with the Fire
Department. He has faithfully
served at FCC in the Welcome Ministry,
the high school age youth group, and he
has participated in several AMOR trips.
He also works with the Deacon Ministry
and is a leader of a men's Bible study,
"Quest for Authentic Manhood." |

Lynn Ware was born
May 11, 1951 in Madison, Indiana.
He works for Yuma Union High School
District in the Facilities Management
Department where he is the Maintenance
Supervisor for Gila Ridge High School.
He became a Christian when he was 12
years old at First Christian Church here
in Yuma. He is married to Margaret
S. Ware, they were married on December
26, 1970 at FCC. They have one
married daughter, Virginia Ware Udall ,
and one married son, Lincoln Ware. Lynn
is involved in the FCC Missions
Department and the Worship Praise Band.
His favorite books are U.S. history books such as civil war books,
and anything with lighthouses.
Lynn says his hero is his mother,
Marguerite Ware. His favorite
foods include fried chicken, steak from
South America, mashed potatoes, mom's
gravy, and a good spinach salad.
His hobbies include spending time with
his grandchildren, traveling, and
camping. Lynn considers the
biggest blessing in his life to be his
wife, children, and grandchildren. |

Mike
Watson was born February 10, 1958 in
Yuma, Arizona. He is a farmer.
He became a Christian in 1982. His
wife is Luanne Watson, they were married
in 1992 in Yuma. They have two
sons, Matt and Ben, ages 15 and 13
respectively. Mike co-teaches an
adult Sunday School class, as well as
serving as an Elder.
Mike's favorite author is James Herriott. His hero is the
biblical Stephen. His favorite
food is watermelon. Mike enjoys
surfing and hiking. He considers
the biggest blessing in his life to be
finding a godly wife. |

Glenn Wright
was born on October 2, 1961 in Glen
Cove, New York. He is a Research
Scientist and Extension Specialist for
the University of Arizona. He
became a Christian in June of 1975.
His wife is Lori Ann Wright, and they
were married December 12, 1992 in
College Station, Texas. Their
children are: Stacy (24), Lance
(21) and Christiana (13). Glenn is
currently involved in several ministries
including the Marriage Ministry, 24/7,
Missions (short-term trips), he's a TLC
leader and an Elder. His favorite
books are **Sherlock Holmes, Les Miserables, and any by Clive Cussler and
J.R.R. Tolkein. His favorite foods
are Italian, Spanish, In-N-Out
cheeseburgers and extra-crispy fries.
His hobbies are reading, travel, and
gardening. Glenn says the biggest
blessing in his life is his wife,
children, and grandchild. |
