We place a high priority on corporate worship at First Christian Church.  Our vision is to develop Christ-centered worship settings and seasonal outreach productions which will provide both believers and seekers the opportunity to experience an intimate encounter with the Living God.  We strive for excellence in the use of music, drama, and other creative arts to accomplish our vision.

Worship Choir (Adults)

The Worship Choir leads in worship every two to three weeks and is divided into smaller, rotating worship teams all other weeks.  The Choir also serves as the musical backbone of Christmas and Spring productions. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday nights, 7:15-8:45.   As major productions draw closer,  extra rehearsals may be called.  Call Darrin at          726-5616 for more information.

Praise Band

The Praise Band leads Sunday morning worship every week. Participation is by audition only, followed by an invitation from the Minister of Worship/Music. Instrumentalists must be able to read chord charts, and the ability to improvise is desired.  The ability to understand the basics of music notation is a definite plus for all members of the band.  Rehearsals are held on Tuesday nights at 6:30.  Call Darrin at 726-5616 for more information.

Drama

Actors are sought to perform various sketches in our worship services.  Experience in drama is helpful, but by no means necessary.  Actors are often needed for major productions as well.  Call Darrin at 726-5616 for more information.

Kids' Khoir        

The Kids’ Khoir (for Grades 1-6) rehearses on Sunday nights at 5:00-6:15.  The children work primarily on two seasonal programs each year, but may be scheduled to sing at other services or events. 

T3 Multimedia Ministry

Multimedia, camera, light and sound technicians insure that our worship services are enhanced by skilled operation of our audio/visual systems.  On-the-job training is provided.  The ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly is desired.  Most ministry members cross-train in several areas.  For more information, call Paul Mondragon at 726-5616 or e-mail to

 Other Ministry Opportunities

Ushers assist in seating worshipers, cleaning up the Worship Center between services, and providing any other logistical assistance needed during worship.   Ushers and greeters are also recruited for major productions and special services. Call Terry Sanders at 726-5616 for more information.

Communion/Offering Servers are recruited on Sunday mornings as the congregation arrives for worship.  Please contact Terry Sanders at 726-5616, or talk to a head usher if you are interested in serving.

Communion Preparation Volunteers are needed to prepare communion trays for Sunday worship.  Commitment to this ministry is usually one month per year, during which a commitment of approximately 2 hours per week is required. Contact the church office if interested in serving.
