The curriculum at Southwestern Christian School are the A
Beka Curriculum and Bob Jones University curriculum. Both are Bible
based curriculums that use scripture through out and use God's laws for
knowledge. The curriculum used is written on the premise that
all truth comes from God and that any teaching of man that is contrary to
the clear teaching of the Word of God must be rejected and refuted.
A Beka curriculum in history gives students the record of God's plan for
mankind as related to man's creation and fall, the redemptive plan of God,
and the fulfillment of God's perfect will and purpose for His creatures.
In science it presents the universe as the direct creation of the God of the
Scriptures and refutes the man-made idea of evolution. It presents God
as the great Designer, Sustainer, and Law-giver, without Whom the evident
design and laws of nature would be inexplicable.
Our orderly, rational God used mathematics as He created the
world and set it into motion. A Beka math promotes absolute truth,
encourages good work habits, expects students to learn and remember
necessary facts, and uses word problems that help to develop strong
Christian character. Reading, Bible, and Language are the
other areas of study where students are giving truth and
knowledge. |
